Roosevelt Elementary School is located in the West Central Mesa area and serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The school focuses on empowering young minds through a traditional curriculum that endorses STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), literacy, community and social emotional learning. Through the use of newer technologies, the school strives to maintain contact with parents and inform them about a student’s progress. ClassDojo is used to send updates and offers a direct channel between teaching staff and parents to communicate about each child’s needs and successes. Roosevelt Elementary School has alternative classrooms, which are called Roosevelt Ranches. In these settings, students are provided with opportunities to build relationships and leadership skills by interacting with children of different ages. In addition to these learning environments, the school offers summer programs, such as an Arizona Cardinals Kids Camp, and has a gardening club.

Teacher says "shut-up" instead of "quiet". I have never told my child to shut up. I have said quiet because I love my...
