On the cloistered campus of Earlington Heights Elementary school, kids are moving ahead, getting a great education at this International Baccalaureate (IB) magnet school. Through the IB programme, children are taught to become better citizens of the world, learning responsibility, developing their self-motivation, and discovering a love for learning. The IB programme encourages kids to be inquisitive and more confident as they learn traditional subjects, along with a second language, setting them up for future success in the ever-changing world. The stucco school building is built around a courtyard where picnic tables provide spots where students can relax outside. Behind the school, the playground is ready for fun, featuring a shaded play structure with slides, climbing features, and more. An open field —ideal for soccer, football, and countless other games—and three basketball courts give kids a chance to enjoy team sports and other fun outdoor activities. Before and after school, Earlington Heights Elementary offers after care in conjunction with the Miami Children’s Museum, providing help with homework, as well as a wide range of planned activities to broaden children’s educational experiences. Earlington Heights Elementary School and its International Baccalaureate programme sets young learners up for lifetime success.

Old very run down facilities. Funding just gets lower every year so does the overall schoolrating rated F in 2018 and rated D in 2019 does not do a good job at serving disadvantaged students. However maybe it will get better since it’s the only school in the district rated lower than C.. hoping for...
