GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I attended this school for all of my high school years, but I did not actually attend it much. My Freshman year was mostly online due to Covid and I was only taking 4 classes anyway. My sophomore year was then entirely remote by choice. After this, I took all of my classes through a college and got my diploma and associate's degree together. Due to this, it made me more than college ready to go here.

Middletown High School is generally a great school to attend. The teachers are wonderful as well as the administrators.

You are really in control when it come to your status. If you are in athletics, you will makes friends with other athletes. If your in band, you'll make friends with the others in band. There is very little seniority there. We're all there against our will and just try to make the best out of it. I was given the choice to finish the last two years of high school at a prep school and i chose that path. The two years i attended MHS i enjoyed it because i made it enjoyable. If you see it as the world against you, you won't enjoy it. i cheered all 4 years at MHS and sometimes felt left out because i no longer attended there. Again, i just had to make myself not feel left out by hanging out with people outside of school or keeping up on social media.

While the teachers are generally supportive and respectful, the students hold the school back. Many are very unintelligent and lack impulse control, making it harder for advanced students to excel, as the pace of learning is often held back by those who do not engage or disrupt the class. The school...

Middletown Schools have really come a long way in the last 10 years. I see a drastic improvement from when my youngest went there, to now my oldest. Things are improving but it takes time. Keep up the good work!

I had a few awesome teachers, but most were cynical and didn't really care whether we were educated or not. I took AP classes, and advanced courses, and never passed an AP exam. Some teachers didn't expect enough, so students didn't care to try. I had a great experience in high school, because of my...

Middletown is the worst district I have ever seen... The lack of organization and anything resembling quality is readily evident. This school is focuses on producing athletes and worker bees but not Intelligent people. Middie "pride" is a joke. Maybe they're proud that freemasons run the city which...
