GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Milano is a wonderful school to go to with the little number of kids, but one thing I love is that you know everyone. One of the worst experience I would say is having to run on the football field because Milano having no track. Another is having to running up steep hills just to get to our weight-room.

Milano High School is a very good school to enroll your children in. The staff is very friendly and caring, as well as the community. Milano, Texas is a close knit town, however they are very accepting and supportive to new faces. I've been a student at Milano ISD since I was in Pre-K, and I have to say it was the best decision my parents have ever made.

I have and am continuing to learn many things attending Milano ISD, my mom graduated from there and my grandmother has worked there for over 20 years. I love playing sports and am involved in OAP and FFA. I have learned how to weld in one of the classes that I take, and am interested in pursuing, but first I would like to continue playing a sport at the college level. We have some really good teacher/coaches, that make us work hard to do what we need to do to be successful.

I have attended Milano since kindergarten and I am going into the 10th grade. It is overall a great school. I think that this coming school year (2012-2013) is going to be better than the last few years, seeing that we have practically a whole new administration and staff.
