GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall, the teachers in the school are knowledgeable and supportive. The school climate among the behavior of the students has steadily been declining since my freshman year. Vandalism is extremely common, causing several bathrooms to be down for most of the school year. However, I've always been impressed with the AP teachers, all of whom are experts in their study and do their best to help you pass your exams with flying colors.

Henry M Jackson is a great school that provides students with the resources necessary to succeed. One thing I would change is the required classes for graduation. Some classes are unnecessary or should be taken earlier. For example, college career and readiness is a class that should not be necessary

My experience at Jackson High School was average. I had the opportunity to do AP classes as a freshman, join clubs I was interested in, and receive internship opportunities as an upperclassman. However, some things I would like to see change would be things like using the student ID card as an actual ID card. Most students from the portables couldn't use the restrooms or get what they needed from the main building unless a staff came and opened the door.

In my family's experience, HM Jackson HS is a wonderful school! We have had five children who attended this school, all of whom received a quality education with plenty of opportunities for college-level learning, as well as participation in sports and robotics. The robotics team is amazing, both in...

I'm a senior here and this place truly is struggling. Its practically falling apart in some places, budget on classes is falling so low next year there wont be as many electives anymore, they cant afford to keep a lot of the teachers. they only have ONE men's bathroom open all the time for all the s...

Jackson could and should be so much better. It is thought of as being the “best” high school in the district, but there is nothing great about it. Yes it is a higher income part of the district, and with that there is more engagement from parents, and families that have the means to help a strugglin...

Majority of educators are very efficient at their work and can work with adolescents quite well. The school offers a variety of college level classes such as AP. Most students are definitely not the worst, although many aren't that good to be put into a group with either. Some teachers who lack a sen...
