As a parent of children who went to this school for 2 years I would caution anyone to BEWARE before enrolling their child. You take a huge gamble in who your teacher will be (and if they will last all 8 years!) and who your child's peers will be as well as the parent group that you're stuck. Administration over the past few years has had a huge turnover and is very toxic in the way they handle anyone who questions their methodology or the handling of bullying. Many families have been ostracized from the school after having a less than ideal experience among peers. Bullying unfortunately runs rampant and there is no consequences for poor behavior because the school is desperate for enrollment. Safety is a huge concern as the building is not fully renovated for earthquake safety and there are no rules around people coming and going through the front doors during school hours. Really do your research before buying the peace and love Waldorf ideals they put out during enrollment events!!!

Great teachers and arts/english program. Would like to see better coordination between faculty members.

1. Waldorf = Authoritarian. Child must fit into very specific paradigm of the classroom. no peer based learning. no inquiry. no peer based learning. no project based learning. 2. Same teacher 1-8th grade. Teacher MUST be a fit for your child. 3. No assessment or advocacy for dyslexia or learning disabilities. All learning specialists must be found out of school and the referrals- costly /ineffective. 4. Most administration and teachers have their children going to PWS. No clear, neutral, and unbiased problem solving 5. They dismiss children and families from the school with no notice or preparation.

PWS is a great fit for families who are interested in an alternative approach to education. I have two children here and this school has been a blessing, especially coming out of the public school system during the pandemic. We’ve had incidents of social conflict/bullying of our child and our teache...

Great school to call home. Both of our elementary school children have found a home here, and our family has found a community. We have moved to be closer to this school and the community that supports it. We have been here since early childhood and are highly aligned with the direction of the schoo...

This school puts on a lot of show about caring about DEIJ issues, but there are institutional culture issues that directly affect the way boys and girls are taught and treated. In an effort to "fight the patriarchy" administration and staff allow female students to exhibit bullying behaviors without...

We have been at PWS for 4 years now and absolutely love it. The teaching staff is largely extremely dedicated, caring and wonderful individuals. The school stresses the whole child and helps them learn about themselves, becoming a productive member of society, caring about the environment, critical...
