GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

MWHS is an amazing school with many opportunities. It is a small-town school with small class sizes and lots of one-on-one teacher /student learning.

My experience at Mound Westonka High School was daunting, yet fun and eventful. From freshman to senior year I learned a lot of important things that I can use in my daily life after high school. It provided me with life changing events and I will be always grateful for my time at Mound Westonka. It truly was the best 4 years of my life. It set me up for success in the future and I am very fortunate that I got to be a part of something special.

I attended this school years ago. People here work hard to improve the entire district. The facilities are second to none. Referendums pass by a landslide every time. It gets better every day for every student.

Very mean students, a number of rude teachers, large favoritism, and taught me nothing.

We have had 2 children graduate from the Westonka School District; one in 2011 and now one in 2013. Without doing hardly any extra studying, our kids' average ACT scores were 32 and 33. What they learned in school prepared them for the tests. I appreciated that both Grandview Middle and MWHS didn't...
