I attended their Showcases for 2 years before deciding to choice in here and my kids are very happy. They've made great friends, and the families have been very friendly as well. We moved to the area to send our kids to de Portola, and pulled our son out after one year. He is profoundly gifted and, at least in Kindergarten, the school failed to challenge and engage him, which led to a not-so-great experience for our son (who loves learning and other kiddos). De Portola is rated high because it really is a well rounded blue ribbon school. The staff, Teachers, and Principle always go above and beyond to work as one team for the benefit of the students. The teachers are just phenomenal and in my experience are even better than most private schools around....
