GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Monmouth is a very good school with teachers who truly care. Monmouth is very diverse when it comes to race, religion, and sexuality. Walking through the halls you will find many types of people.

Our school is pretty typical for the midwest - few actual college readiness taught, average sports teams, and a closed-minded administration. Teachers are a mixed bag. Some are great but others don't teach at all and yet will never be disciplined of reprimanded by the administration. The best program in the school - Latin - is dying because of the administration's apathy and lack of enthusiasm to actually look for a new teacher.

Monmouth-Roseville High School is about what you would expect out of a rural high school. We have a size of just over 400 so, while we all know each other, we still have the numbers for cliques. For the most part, the faculty at the high school is good, however there are some teachers who seem more interested in being friends with their students than being their teacher. Our new principal is awesome. The school could use more dual-credit classes as well as classes to set those up for success whose next step may not be college.
