GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school in and of itself, was an amazing learning environment. However, I never thrived at the school due to my religious differences. You see, the school was incredibly accepting of everyone no matter race, gender, or sexuality, but as a Christian, I was outcasted throughout my entire four years of school. I would love to see this be changed by both students and faculty.

My experience with Central Academy of Technology and Arts has been nothing short of fantastic. Attending an arts and technology school has provided me with opportunities that I would not have had had I gone to my district school. The student involvement and teacher efforts towards a well-rounded environment while pushing students to their desired career has created a more motivated student body.

The best part of attending CATA is by far the diversity. There's diversity in backgrounds, race, and family. We can learn from each other through our involvement, because in the end a common goal of a magnet school is education in of our mind and in our social life. Worst part of attending CATA is forced to be part of an academy even if you feel like you will not pursue this work. I am part of the dance pathway and there are amazing and talented people. However, due to my limited talent and skill I will never make ig professionally, but I have to continue in order to go to school at CATA. However I am grateful I can still dance for fun.

I just had a Senior Graduate and the Information Systems department is wonderful. He plans to study Computer Science in College and was able to start with some next level courses due to credits received on his testing scores. I have another student in the MPRA program and there is creative classes w...

I have two teens at this school and both love it (they commute 40 mins each way just to attend). They really enjoy the athletic program (soccer), which results in their sense of belonging and school pride. The teachers (all but one) have been excellent, and both kids like their academy programs. I'd...

Honestly this school makes me look forward to going to school. the work load isn't that bad, the teachers are help full and seem to genuinely care. Since the students all made a conscious decision to go there instead of their home school most of them seem to want to be there and are mostly lovely an...

CATA is painted as a great school where everyone gets along and knows each other and a school that challenges their students. These are all LIES. The counselors say that honors classes are "not actually honors classes. The curriculum is identical to the CP [college prep/regular] classes." The studen...
