GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Monrovia high school is a very small county school. Everyone know everyone. the teachers are all super nice but if you don't learn well with a certain teacher your out of luck that's the only teacher that teaches that class. in the past few years alot of the older teachers left so Monrovia is getting newer younger teachers that don't know how to manage a class or teach the actual material. Monrovia is so small it lacks in opportunities. if you want to take a dual credit course theirs 2 options and that's it if you want to take an AP class theres about 6 classes. it also is in a bad spot there are alot of houses going in near our school but they are technically in a different county so Monrovia gets all student and noe of the taxes to pay for those students.

It is a good school. Most of the people are nice. The teachers really care about you and want what is best for you.

I love the community the school is in it provides a comforting and stable environment for the students. If there was one thing I would change about this school it would be to make it more diversified among the students and staff.

Teachers are very rude and students don’t know how to behave. Students barely learn anything. Would not recommend

The administration at the school is lacking severely. The principal should’ve retired years ago, he’s disorganized last minute and nonexistent. He’s never seen after hours or attends any extracurricular activities.

This school is great. The teachers are caring, knowledgable and active in the community. Close knit school and community, you couldn't ask for anything more
