The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Monticello High school is a small high school where everyone knows everyone. I love my high school because we have fantastic teachers that care about their students succeeding. The academics are what they need to be to prepare us for college. We are getting a new gym, tennis courts, and parking lot. They are constantly improving our school. The only thing I would like to see improve would be a better cafeteria and healthier food options.

The teachers and general classmates were very good. The curriculum is not the greatest but it allows for the people who want to go higher in education to get there. The food is not good like most schools nowadays. The extracurricular activities are fun such as band and sports and such and are actually good for such a small school. My overarching experience with MHS is one that was pretty fun and acceptable considering what the school has to work with.

Definitely should change the administration's views and goals, instead of wasting money on useless things to look cool... spend it on things we actually need upgraded or fixed .
