My experience at Morton High School was a mediocre overall time. Morton High School does have many opportunities for advanced placement learning. This allows for students to learn at a quicker and higher level. While this definitely helps students prepare for college I feel that the teachers that are responsible for teaching these classes do not necessarily teach the students to the best of their abilities. A lot of my time spent at Morton High School consisted of me having to teach myself the subjects outside of the classroom due to inadequate instructions inside the classrooms. Morton does pride themselves on their test scores and grades their students receive but I believe these are due more to the students' abilities to get help outside the classroom then the actual schooling they received inside the classrooms.

During the time I went to Morton High School, I was exposed to a lot of racism, sexism, and homophobia. The school and town lacks diversity and is set up to benefit Christian straight white men. A teacher was fired my junior year after I spoke out against her for being homophobic and racist but nothing has changed. It overall is a good education system but the administration, teachers, and students are hateful bullies and I am glad I left the town when I did.

Overall Morton High School has done a decent job providing me with a good education, good resources, and personable teachers. While the school does lack some diversity, it also lacks in equal gender support for the sports team . This can be seen as really discouraging for female athletes who work just has hard as their male counterparts.

We are very happy we moved into this district in 2010. The teachers expect the children to perform at a high level which will benefit them in the future.

As a Morton grad and now a proud parent of two teenagers, I can testify that this school district is well - versed in the requirements needed to successfully navigate post - high school life. The district provides its students with a solid basis to launch into under-graduate or technical institute e...

This school has very devoted teachers. The administration tries to accommodate the most ambitious needs of students in terms of curriculum and scheduling. To bad that school doesn't have a pool and more tennis courts.
