GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I'm currently attending this high school as a senior, and I've had an amazing 4 years at this school. The teachers were super helpful at a time where I need someone the most. It wasn't always easy but there are very supportive teachers, supportive parents in the community, and great sports teams.

Over the past couple of years my high school has been through many changes. From having an open hour to eat lunch and also catch up on work for classes you may need help in, to not even having a long enough lunch period to get in the line and finish your lunch on time. It was of course, our fault that we lost that privilege of having freedom. I hope in the future the kids will show that they can use their time wisely and show they can actually handle having a free period like that. I hope I can see more freedom in the schools future.

My experience at west rowan was decent. They do not prepare you good enough for college and they don't tell you much about scholarships out there. I was a varsity Captain of the cheerleading team for football and basketball, that was a really good experience. Overall west rowan high school is a okay school.

West Rowan is the best high school in Rowan County I believe. If there is ever a problem it is always taken care of immediately.

My school is by far one of the best schools I have ever none. I go here knowing that I will get a good education and know I am learning what it takes to succeed in college. You would be a fool to not consider this school.

The school climate is warm and welcoming with a community atmosphere. Course offereings focus on ALL students (i.e. Career ready, College prep, and Advanced Placement). No student is left out! I wouldn't want my children attending anywhere else in the district.
