Overall I had a great experience at MLHS. I feel well prepared for college and had excellent teachers and made a lot of life long friends. It's a small community where everyone knows eachother and looks out for eachother. I would like to see some more options that offer some more vocational courses not just geared for AP and honors kids.

The school provides numerous AP/ Honors programs across all subjects. They have an excellent College prep program which helps seniors with the step by step college process. They had daily college visits which gave students the options to consider a broad range of schools. The sports programs are supported by the entire school and surrounding towns. We have always made it to state finals or counties which leads to a energy that can be felt thru the whole town. During Covid they were very proactive in providing extra help and online assistance to students that are struggling.

The town lacks diversity although there is a growing Asian-American population and some immigrants from Europe, South Africa, etc. No one cares about education for the sake of learning. If...

This school (and indeed the entire Mountain Lakes school system) has been supportive of my child with special needs and has guided her to a college where I feel confident she will succeed both in her studies and in her social and emotional life.

Outstanding program in a unique environment, where the valedictorian is more revered than the quarter back of the football team. With these kids, the question is not "are you going to college" it's "WHERE are you going?"
