GreatSchools Rating

Source: GreatSchools
GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

All they care about is sports. The students that play sports never get in proper trouble and even the teachers are mad about that. All they care about is their school rating and force people to participate in school pride activities. They are bias towards the sporty kids and no one ever gets in trouble. Only the kids they know do drugs. A kid that dies drug and a sporty kid could break the same rule but the sporty kid gets a warning (honestly unlimited warnings) while the kid that does drugs gets detention. They need to step up and care more about other things. Its stupid. At least some schools have art and academic programs. But this school is just worried about winning games and getting their school rating up. Disgusting. Not to mention bullying. And drama caused by adults. Some teachers dont even teach. Im a straight A student and can get by in class but you never really ever learn anything in some classes.

There is only high levels of support for certain activities. There is not a lot of funding to help the clubs and organizations grow.

Sports are a big part of our high school. We don't always have the best facilities and programs however to many kids in this small town sports are all they have.
