GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have had a great high school experience. I got to play baseball , but I do have to say that this year is probably the worst year of high school. The worst mostly anyone could have, because of what is going on. I only hope that it will get straighten out itself by graduation. And Prom, and pictures ring and all of the other milestones that seniors have. And I was going to be captain of our baseball team this year. I am still doing my work, but it is not the same as going into class and doing the work there, plus I actually liked going to school. Now I can only hope that I am ready for college, so I can keep up with the work and studies as well. Hopefully everything will get back to normal so we can enjoy our last year here at steel Valley.

The small schools have given my kids opportunities they wouldn't have gotten in larger districts. Generally happy with the system.

The teachers were always helpful and took interest into the ones who were willing to learn. They would always help until everything was clear to me. A change I would like to see is the staff and faculty caring more about the student's education more than the dress code.
