GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It was a good school to go to. I had a lot of opportunities and I took advantage of them and then eventually got me into a good college. But I am glad I graduated and I'm in college now.

I would like to see improvements in the infrastructure of the school. When I attended Hillwood High School, it was on the verge of falling apart. Seeing a new building would benefit a lot. I would also like to see more academic engagement. Many students often fall behind or do not put forth the effort to succeed, so seeing them being challenged in an effective way would be nice.

Hillwood High School gave their students the best possible experience that its funding could allow. The teachers and staff are for the most part great individuals who care about the education and well-being of their students. The student body environment and attitudes toward one another could improve significantly.
