GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

While i attended valor college prep from 2021-2024 as a freshmen to senior I can say the school itself has a great academic program and is very encouraging in that department but as far as a high school experience and getting you ready for the real world it's lack in effort.

I had a great experience with the school but I also understand that while this is a new school, there should be plenty of room for mistakes. It was very fun but also very educating about all of the information and curriculum. The worst part about the school is probably the food that they serve for lunch. The breakfast is alright but the lunch is sometimes inedible. We also rarely use our lockers which was a bit frustration because there was no set code for some people and some struggled to get theirs open.

For my 4 years at valor flagship academy I can say that it wasn't always bright and sunny some days brought rainy clouds. The most impactful thing I can say is that you will feel a connection with some of yours teachers and those connections will help you in the long run whether or not you need a essay done or extra credit and help they will be there. The people at the school are also good friends and , safe environment where no one is at harm. The only bad thing would be the food and the unrecognizable effect of students actual being able to hold themselves accountable from teachers most teachers and faculty leaders will view you only as a kid and nothing more snd that can impact how successful a student can be.

Valor does an incredibly good job of prepping students for state and standardized testing. But that's literally how they spend all of their time. I would recommend this school for anyone whose child is a low performer or who needs a lot of structure. It's a safe school where misbehavior is corrected...

I LOVE Valor. All my teachers are nice and pumped! They help us prepare for tests. They give us awards for getting all A's or getting A's and B's every quarter. They also do Color Wars (it is really fun). Every one is super nice and get us ready fir test exams etc.

it Is cultish and stifling and the curriculum is too focused on TCAPS and social justice to create a well-rounded experience

While the first year or so was a huge adjustment from public schools I would not have done anything differently. They test your child and put them in classes that match their academic level not their grade level so your scholar is getting the most prepared for collage. It has been the best experienc...
