Located just minutes from the beach, Fletcher High School is The Senators' home. The name, inspired by influential Jacksonville mayor and Senator Duncan U. Fletcher, echoes the history of Neptune Beach. Fletcher High School teachers strive to provide every opportunity for each student to reach their full potential. The school offers a career and technical education sponsored by VyStar Credit Union. The Academy of Business and Finance prepares enrollees with hands-on experience and classes in financial literacy, business management and law, customer service, accounting and technology. For college-minded students, Fletcher provides dual enrollment, Advanced Placement, the Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. As a recipient of the 2018 College Success Award, the school boasts a 74% rate of students pursuing either a college or vocational training program. Fletcher also features a long list of athletic programs, including football, baseball, tennis, golf, cross country, softball, volleyball and more. Extracurricular clubs are a big part of the school as well. I started Fletcher High school my senior year of high school. Fletcher has very unique characteristics such as pageants and parades. This has made Fletcher a unique school that I've attended since I have not seen these before. As far as the schooling goes, I found that Fletcher can be lenient since it is by the beach. The students have a certain cultural to them since being by the beach. Overall I found this school interesting.

Its not petfect..I'm not sure any beach school in America is without some issues. Out kid earned an academic scholarship to University of Florida so we're happy with Fletcher HS..

We have moved around the past 5 or 6 years and had to send our 3 children to several different schools...this high school happens to be the worst overall experience we have ever had with any school ever.
