New Bern High school is great. It offers a lot of different opportunities to take advantage of your interests and community involvement. You can find a ton of new hobbies or topics to learn about, while also meeting like-minded people. Overall, the school is amazing when you get involved with the right groups of people and clubs. However, there is a lot of tension. The staff do their best to be involved with the students, but a lot of things still tend to happen behind closed doors.

NBHS has been a good experience. There are some teachers who love what they do and love the students. We have a close environment and are involved in the community.

I'm currently enrolled in this school, love the teachers the environment is very peaceful. they have a lot of activities and classes to choose from. one thing I would change is Canvas because this platform is very hard to use.

It's discouraging when your child comes home and tells you the assistant principal told her not to worry about the conduct referrals she gets because she has a bad teacher, especially when your daughter is learning and likes the teacher. I have one graduate and two currently enrolled at NBHS. I truly believe that your attitude shaprs your experience. All three of mine are doing/ have done well. They challenge themselves and found good friends and committed staff.
