Our son came to Country School as a first-grader. He is now in 8th grade and was admitted to his first choice for high school. I'd have to think pretty hard to find anything negative to say about our experience. First and foremost, the teachers have been outstanding. Each year, we find ourselves amazed at the quality of instruction, personal attention and genuine care we receive from the faculty. As an example, he had a teacher several years ago who created a journal with our son. After handing in a writing assignment, our son would receive back a written response consisting of multiple paragraphs critiquing his work. Our son would be expected to respond and update the assignment. By the end of the year, we had a record of their correspondence which showed the path of our son's writing improvement over the year. I don't know how this teacher found the time to provide such personalized guidance, but it has been instrumental to our son's academic development.

As my fifth year as a parent, we have been extremely pleased with NCCS for both our children. NCCS is a very special place, the school stays true to its mission statement. NCCS graduates are the most well rounded and personable kids....

Our child is thriving at NCCS. The small class sizes, authentic relationships with teachers across all grades and disciplines, experiential learning, nurturing environment coupled with challenging curriculum, and competitive athletic experiences has all meant a winning combination for our family.

An outstanding place where kids can feel "at home" and comfortable enough to push themselves. Making mistakes and taking risks are encouraged, so that children can feel free to extend themselves in their learning.

Fantastic School. My son graduated last year and is now a sophomore at New Canaan High School. He is so well prepared that he placed into honors chemistry and a Junior-level math class - much to our delight and surprise as we did not request it. I don't want to jinx it, but so far he's getting strai...

Mixed. Great faculty who genuinely cares about the kids. Would be really wonderful if they could get their standards back up to where they used to be when it comes to academics and behavior. Compared to my older kids, things slipped a lot for my youngest. Hopefully with a lot of new people applying...

Phenomenal. NCCS gave me the foundation for a lifelong appreciation of learning and positioned me for success in both secondary and post-secondary education. The faculty are passionate and dedicated to seeing students achieve their full potential and the facilities are spectacular.
