I attended SJB during years K-5. The teachers and staff were some of the kindest people I have met and will ever meet. The teacher that taught my class for two years made me fall in love with everything STEM, which I now plan to major in. One thing to note - the curriculum did not fully prepare me for the transition to a public school. Since SJB is private, state testing wasn't prepared for and I don't believe my education was maximized in the same environment it is when state testing is something to prepare for. When my family switched to a local public district in 2021 due to the mediocre effort being put into my sister's education, I was slightly behind the other kids and did not exhibit my best grades and scores on the PSSAs. In my opinion, this affected my qualifications for advanced courses when I wanted to take them in middle school. Despite all this, I am currently a successful and academically gifted student managing straight A's, taking advanced courses, and thriving.
