GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

As a rising junior my experience has been great so far. It is lacking diversity because it is a newer school but has been very great at making and presenting opportunities for it's students that attend.

I moved here right before my freshman year. Though there has been a few ups and downs, my high school experience has generally been good. The arts program is such an amazing experience in the school, especially if you have a harder time feeling like you belong. I am in the theatre and choir program and it truly does feel like a home.

I personally like New Kent High a lot it is a fun school I do think that some things could be better like the food and teachers but other than that I do think they try hard to provide a lot of opportunities for us students.

This school is decent for public schools, but I still find that I am unfulfilled and most teachers have a very lackluster and unemotionally supportive view.

I would like to say as a current student of New Kent High school, I wouldn't recommend coming here at all. This place looks nice at face value, but once you experience the things here, you start to realize not everything is picture perfect like how the staffs describe. The administration here is alr...

This school is the worst one anywhere in Virginia, they destroy any chance at kids wanting to learn or being happy by blocking literally everything with iboss. There is no way to be able to contact friends, family, or anyone because of the restrictive emails and every website known to man being bloc...

Because of the illegal substance abuse, if I had any other HS option we would probably take it but unfortunately since we live in New Kent, we are stuck with no other options than NKHS.
