Founded in 1847, Jesuit High School is a titan among learning institutions in New Orleans. Located at 4133 Banks St., the college-preparatory school is nestled in the postcard-like setting of Mid-City's oak-tree lined streets. Admission is considered competitive and a high percentage of graduates (nearly 100%) go on to attend four-year colleges or universities. Tuition was $10,700 for the 2022-2023 school year. Financial aid and tuition assistance are available. An application with a fee is required. The private Catholic all-boys high school serves eighth grade through 12th grade. The school’s stated purpose is to provide structure for self-disciplined study, stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and create confidence for respectful, articulate self-expression. While academics are the school’s focus, it also recognizes that it takes more to succeed in today’s world. For that reason, Jesuit High School offers co-curriculars consisting of nearly 50 clubs and organizations designed to inspire teamwork, curiosity, and social interaction and learning. Athletics are also encouraged for a healthy mind and body. The school offers basketball, football, in-line hockey and sailing.

The experience I have with Jesuit is the best. I'm so grateful for the education that is provided. The conversation I have with my son leave me in awe.

Jesuit has provided me with an excellent education, and I have made many friends here. Most of the teachers are friendly and easy to work with. However, I plan on majoring in music, but the Jesuit band has not provided me much in forwarding my playing. Jesuit has challenged me to do my best and more than best in my classes. I have struggled numerous times, but it has helped me become more able to deal with obstacles in life. Overall, Jesuit has been a great experience for me.

Great school in the NOLA area...although the area is not the best. Prepares boys for college fairly well. Definitely would recommend to any boy, who lives in NOLA. If you were on the Northshore...there are great schools in a better area. Jesuit is relatively cheap, when compared to other parochial /...

A1 Steak Sauce. It was one hell of a ride and I couldn't imagine doing it anywhere else. I feel fully prepared for college both socially and academically.

I had an awful experience at Jesuit. Jesuit was a family tradition for me, and I was very excited to start, as I was a third-generation student. This school made me into a person I didn't even know anymore. I was depressed, this school was that awful. Nothing about it was good for me, I had awful/me...
