I really enjoy HCZ. I think it's a great place for poc to fit in and be around people of their culture and other cultures. I do think that they have a minor discipline problem but overall a nice school.

I have been in the Harlem Children Zone since i was 4 years old, i'm still attending and i'm in 11th going on to 12th grade. Harlem children zone promise academy has helped me a lot. The school gives the students a lot of resources to help them which i really good. When a child is in need they are quick to help them and don't hesitate. They also having really good academic help when it come to kids who don't understand, the teachers are really generous with giving away there time to help.

My child has attended Promise Academy since it opened in 2004. I believe the concept of the school is a great idea on paper, however the staff has not been able to implement this concept. HCZ Promise Academy is an excellent school! Yes, it's had ups and downs, what new school hasn't? The school is stronger than ever with great Principals, teachers and student advocates too. This school has amazing teachers but major behavioral issues.Children are very disrespectful to adults and are very disruptive in class.I sat in on one class in my student's class and there is little learning happening and more disciplining taking place.I reward the work of the teachers but I am not...
