My experience at PS 33 is mid. The teachers are good, but the food and administration stinks. You can say curse words, commit physical and mental assault and its completely okay. I would say 95% of the time, the attackers don't get in trouble. I remember one time a friend complained about this at recess and he couldn't play on the field for a week. If your child is ICT or Gen ed then don't come here. If your child is G&T, think about it, come if it's your best option.

I started attending this school in 2012 and graduated in 2019. I honestly had a really good experience and I have no regrets going here. I loved most of the teachers I had, but there are a few things I didn't like. 1. The students in the G&T program were treated relatively better than the students in regular classes. 2. As a person who loves music, I don't think the program was good enough and a lot of students didn't put much effort into it. 3. The food was good for a few years as they were serving Mozzarella sticks, chocolate milk, and pizza, etc. But later on the food tasted less edible and they tried making the food "healthier" but it tasted disgusting. Overall I like this school and would recommend it to anyone looking for a school for their child.

I graduated from this school in 2015 and loved it. There were many activities, and the lessons taught are still helpful to me today. My teachers were also amazing.

My eldest and all of the g&t peers from his 5th grade class got their 1st or 2nd middle school choices (Lab, Salk, Clinton, Baruch Accelerated), so we are thrilled with our Chelsea Prep experience! There has been strong continuity in teaching staff and leadership there - our family has been at the s...

My older daughter started PS33 Kindergarten in 2016 and graduated. Now my younger daughter is in 3rd grade. (G&T). The school is incredibly diverse. Great teachers who truly care about students and families, strong PTA are some of the reasons we still have my youngest commute to this school in Chels...

PS 33 is an incredible school with loving and supportive staff and teachers, engaged parents who work hard to raise money for Teachers assistants in each grade and a robust enrichment program including music, chess, STEM, performing arts and more. The partnership between families and PS 33 staff is...

I have two children at PS33 and have had outstanding teachers across the board. I feel as though the teachers really know my children and can speak to their strengths and areas they need improvement. I find the administration supportive and engaging as well. Everyone is very communicative. The schoo...
