Manhattan High School, also known by the designation PS 35, is a public high school located in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. Students at the school are part of the District 75 program, primarily designed to provide education services and support to students with disabilities or significant learning challenges. Students apply for admission to the high school through an application to the District 75 program, which oversees 69 schools in the New York City public school district. PS 35 has three separate campuses for the entire school, which serves students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The Hell’s Kitchen campus on West 52nd Street houses the high school portion of the PS 35 school. Educators and faculty at the high school provide educational, vocational and behavioral support in order to determine a student's growth and overall progress not only through academic results but through emotional and social results as well. Manhattan High School also offers a selection of after-school extracurricular activities for the entire student body, such as clubs, athletic teams, tutoring programs and several schoolwide events and celebrations. Manhattan High School focuses its efforts on the individual success of all students, who are taught how to be good citizens, care for others and celebrate each other's differences.
