The school really allows you to explore yourself and find what you love. They also get you really ready for college. And do many things to help you along the way because the college process is hard.

I have lived at the Governor's Academy most of my life because of my father's employment as a math teacher. In 2020, after viewing what I thought was the best school, I got into the school. This is when I found out that there needs to be change. Many of my friends of color have experienced racism during their time at the institution, including micro aggressions and drive by's. There needs to be more action by the school to fix this, including more want for diversity with faculty and students.

I had a great time at Govs. I truly felt at home here and met lifelong friends. The faculty become your family basically.
