I came to Newington High in my sophomore year. Everyone seemed to know each other from their twelve years of school together, but even though I was new, it was very easy to make friends. The teachers were kind and very accommodating, while also encouraging students to work hard and push themselves. I was able to participate in many different areas of involvement, such as the performing arts, going to sports events, as well as academic clubs.

I was a student here and I was pretty happy with the teaching quality after coming from a different location. Definitely helped me get into STEM by giving my a solid background in math.

Great School with great teacher involvement I always receive email responses when reaching out to teachers or administrators. The schools goes above and beyond they offer free math help during and after school. The music/chorus dept / teacher is amazing. There is a wide selection of courses and club...

Newington High School, overall, is an extraordinary school. Having experience in other towns in the state, this high school offers many great courses and extracurricular activities I did not see in other towns. Personally, I believe that the majority of the staff are very well prepared and helpful....
