Jefferson Parkway Elementary School is a public prekindergarten through fifth-grade elementary school located in Newnan, Georgia. It serves over 900 students, has a student-teacher ratio of 15-to-1 and is a part of the Coweta County School System. Because of the massive growth that Coweta County had been seeing over the years, Jefferson Parkway was added to the Shenandoah/Newnan industrial area and opened its doors in August 1994. With the motto, “Together, WE CAN!,” Jefferson Parkway Elementary strives to foster a learning environment that offers an opportunity for each and every student to grow and reach their full potential. The school does this by creating a positive atmosphere, setting high expectations and building a substantial learning community. K-Kids is a worldwide organization that plans and supports students who participate in community projects. Those students are supported by volunteers and faculty advisors who help organize club meetings and service projects. Jefferson also offers an Alternative School Program (ASP) that gives students, kindergarten through fifth grade, the tools that they need to be successful in the general school environment. The expectations for students in this program are equally high as they are presented with the same curriculum as students in the general school program.

We love this school and are impressed how effective their unique teaching style varies from each student depending on their disability or need.

My daughter loves the going to school everyday! She is greeted warmly and enthusiastically by the art teacher or Dr. Dye most every day! He teachers are fantastic! You can tell they truly care and love their jobs.

The school is only as good as its leadership. Great teachers who give 110% but not supported by the principal. He is too concerned about making the parents happy and keeping the central office happy. And the central office knows this but does nothing.
