My name is Zoe Jones and I am an 8th grader at Newport Middle School. I have to say the teachers are ok, I really like some of them but the academics are poor. It is not difficult to get into honors classes and they are not different from regular classes except for Advanced math and Algebra 1 which is a high school class. The food here is horrendous and I can never eat it. If you go here I recommend having a sack lunch. Although it has it's flaws it is a good school at heart with good electives and reaccuring events and assemblies.

The teachers work so hard to meet the needs of this challenging age-group. We have very crowded classrooms, and everyone pitches in to help each other. They enrolled 50 more students than expected this year, so teachers are really stretched. They really care about the students as people.
