The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Exceptional educators and lots of opportunity for kids of all skill levels and interests. Well integrated vocational program that gives kids a lot of options for evaluating different career paths.

My experience in Newton high school was very average. Being involved in the extracurricular is an important part of the experience here.

Band director is amazing, really cares about his students. Counselor doesn't have averted interest in my future. Sometimes it vs like I don't matter. I'm just a person in a desk. It has been a disappointing freshman year. I hope sophomore year goes much better.

Overall the experience at this school was accommodating to me having a IEP, there was never a moment I felt safe to change in the bathrooms other than the nurse's. There...

Newton high school is by far one of the best in Sussex county. The young adults graduating from there are more than prepared for college and the real world. Newton had gotten a bad rep because of its location. People fail to realize it is a regional school with many different students attending, fro...
