I'd say that the school is a very opportunistic place, where you're encouraged to "let your life speak" through the things you do. The school offers a lot of AP and IB classes, as well as being one of the only schools with the IB diploma program. However, the discipline system here is a little questionable, but if you don't get in trouble, you won't have to deal with that.

George School is not the Quaker institution it claims to be. They are very permissive with boys and especially with athlete boys and celebrity kids - they turn a blind eye to really bad behavior. Day students are largely spared but boarding students have to put up with rampant sexism, lack of support, and terrible food.

I have made so many valueable connections with peopl eat George, and though the food is less than decent and there are quite a few teachers who should not be allowed to teach, my overall experience has been a fun one.

The school is not clear on its values. Lack of communication and transparency is an ongoing concern for parents and students

George School was a great place for me. I was there for grades 9-12 and would do it all over. There were some great teachers, coaches and a diverse campus community of students who wanted to learn. Notably, many of the teachers graduated from George School and have taught there for decades. The clas...

I had a great experience at George school. I graduated in 2012 and as a freshman in college now, I miss it incredibly but feel like it prepared me extremely well for college. I wouldn't have wanted to experience high school anywhere else.
