The Nokesville School has a long history dating back to 1870 when it opened in a log cabin as The Nokesville Village School. In 1833, it moved to a new one-room schoolhouse located on the corner of Fitzwater Drive and served the community until 1908, when it moved into a new two-room building. In 1964, it became Nokesville Elementary School and moved into the old building that was previously Brentsville High School. Nokesville Elementary remained there until 2015, when it was relocated to Aiden Road and became The Nokesville School. The Nokesville School has one of the largest attendance boundaries in the Prince William County School division, including residence all the way to U.S. 66 to the north, Prince William Forest to the south, the Fauquier County line to the west, and into Manassas to the east. The school also serves transfer students from other Prince William County Public Schools through one of its three autism special education programs. The Nokesville School’s mascot is the Bengal tiger, and its colors are orange, black and gray. Students can participate in various enrichment programs and extracurricular activities, including drama, garden and running clubs. Spirit squad, robotics and basketball are also available. In addition, middle school students can participate in the strings or band program. The school honors its long history in the community while focusing on the future of its students.

It was fine until Dr. Jacks took over and now it's gone completely downhill. 50% of teachers went to other schools at the end of his first year and I pulled my kid out to homeschool. He's arrogant and controlling and talks about the parents behind their backs. He's also unfortunately really bad at l...

When we first found out our child was going to Nokesville (the old school before the new k-8 was built) I have to admit we were a little sad. There were shiny new schools around and I was a little bummed to be going to the older school. You definitely can't judge a book by it's cover. We started hea...

The Nokesville School (K-8) is the best! The teachers are great and the school has very high test scores. Almost all the students that went to the now closed elementary came back (from Marsteller) for the 6-8 grades. We feel very lucky to be at this well-respected school. The teachers are very carin...

If we weren't moving out of state, I would love to have all my girls attend Nokesville Elementary. I can't explain how sad I am to leave this awesome school because I don't know if I will ever find a gem like this anywhere. From the principal down to the students, each person genuinely loves being t...
