North Charleston Elementary School sits near the center of the Park Circle community and has proudly served students since 1922. With around 350 students from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade, the classes are small and intimate, allowing for personalized and hands-on instruction. The unique public school places students in different houses to create a sense of togetherness and mentorship throughout the school year. In addition, teachers and staff work year-round to offer extracurricular activities like the STEM club, reading programs and field trips around Charleston. Students also look forward to events like the fifth-grade boat building day, book fair and the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) carnival. The small class sizes help students with individual academic achievement while encouraging important social skills. Exploratory classes like art, music and physical education help students find their passions and provide unique learning opportunities. With E-learning opportunities, positive behavioral systems in place and experienced teachers, pupils can achieve growth and learn invaluable leadership skills during their time at North Charleston Elementary School.
