GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

NHHS itself is not the most high quality school, but the academies in it can be very good, and as a member of the highly gifted magnet I am very glad I went.

In terms of public high schools in the area that I live in, I would consider it as one of the better options. Compared to some of the other options that I had when choosing which high school I would be attending I determined this one as the best one due to its many options of classes and AP classes as well as diverse selection of clubs. Although many extracurriculars are offered I don't see a ton of public club spirit. The school as of 2024 is currently being remodeled and our new buildings are modern, clean, and overall pleasant to be in. The technology I've seen in classrooms are up to date or better than most of the tech that other schools have. Due to construction however, the campus currently lacks shady spots where students can sit comfortably, I hope that after construction there will be more areas available. I do really like my high school and would mostly refuse to go elsewhere.

They dont teach and spew a lot of liberal filth on to kids. During the COVID days online education days, I had...

My review is based on one English teacher, (I can't disclose her name but it rhymes with boss). Watch out incoming freshmen and proactive parents! She is a very insensitive and demeaning teacher who lacks compassion. When my daughter asked her to explain her grading on a 26-page assignment she gave...

My school experience so far has been pretty good. I'm at the Zoo Magnet, and it's a bit of a different experience than the main campus. But in all of the past three years I've had classes at the main campus, and I've been exposed to and experienced enough to get a good sense of what the whole school...
