Northport High School had an immense course catalog, and because of that there were very many options. In addition to all of these options, all of the departments had many resources and facilities that were top notch, making it an ideal place to begin to explore what you want to do in your future. On the other hand, it was not a very diverse school community, despite all of these options.

The best part of my high school experience was seeing my friends and having classes with them. I would also say lunch leave is amazing.

My daughter is currently a junior and has so many opportunities between the courses offered and clubs. She will graduate in 2026 and her interest is in becoming a pediatrician. She is able to take both AP and IB classes to prepare her for college as well as some medically based classes. The involvem...

Graduated in '07. Northport had best-in-class music and art programs, ample IB and AP programs, and more exploratory electives than most other schools on LI. How many other high schools on LI offer Archery, Yoga, Rock Climbing, and Project Adventure as an alternative to traditional Gym classes? I co...
