GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school is a nice place and rules are not hard to follow. If you come with the intention to learn and slight socialization you will be just fine it is only as hard as you make it for yourself.

Overall I have had a good experience I would say. Although I would like to see changes with the rules on phones, and how they lock the bathrooms. I would like them to stay open.

My experience with OHHS has varied throughout my four years. I have had good experiences as well as bad experiences. I like how if you go to an adult with a problem, they will drop anything to help you. I dislike how if a student is walking to the doors at 7:16, teachers basically shut the door in your face.

This school is the worst I have ever seen. The amount of bullying and fights are unbelievable and nothing is done to stop it. You call this school and they will tell you they will take care of the issue but they don't then when you call back they tell you they're short staffed. We send our kids to s...

Some of the teachers at OHHS care and really teach their classes, but many don't. Plus budget cuts as far as education goes in West Virginia have put a huge strain on Fayette County schools in the midst of all their trouble with Collins Middle and other schools with insufficient buildings.

I'm a former student of OHHS. This school isn't the worst school in the county... by virtue of Collins Middle School existing. OHHS is a school with a lot of problems. Their academic courses aren't the worst, but they are rather weak. My cousin is attending there currently, and she's told me that th...
