The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Safety is a big concern for me as a student. At JTHS, I did not think safety was at its best. We have had several false alarms/accidental intruders since I arrived. For this, the school required every student to wear their IDs around school. This, I believe, will help prevent intruder threats.

Generally, the mood of all the students is pretty good, they have a lot of school spirit. The teachers were great and I enjoyed lessons, although I am in the environmental academy so I was considered one of the "smart kids". I was in the fall drama and spring musical for half of my high school career and that was great, I had so much fun and the shows turned out well. The bathrooms were sometimes a mess, and I didn't always trust the water, but overall, I liked it at Jefferson.

not allowed to do much in that school. The teachers were not really nice or welcoming at all for freshman year , the workload from some teachers was more than honors classes. (Those same teachers complain about not getting paid enough for their job they signed up for). There are a lot of students who sometimes run out the buildings and act out on other students but are excused from it and are not suspended or anything and the principals/administration do not listen to the students needs/wants at all.
The mold in this school is insane, it’s disgusting. Some teachers are nice but most make it their mission to make students miserable. The principal’s & administrators are a big part of the school & overall the worst part, they do not care for anything and are genuinely insane.
My experience is that they need to provide better services for children that are on the spectrum. The teaching has improved over the years. still a great school and lots of extra curricular things for the kids to join in.
I have lived in Jefferson Twp for many years and my 3 children had an AWESOME experience and education at all of the schools. They particularly loved the high school with the many programs it offered, the AP classes and also all of the extra curricularactivities.
