GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I was privileged enough to be one of the students that got great teachers that truly enabled me to be prepared for exams. I think the worst part were some students that would ruin student privileges for everyone. I would like to see more involvement in academics because I feel that it is often over looked compared to other school activities.

I would like the school to have more fun activities to do there / or do other basic things other Orange County schools are able to do but ours can't.

I enjoy ocoee because of the diversity, college prep, and of course Ocoee's school spirit. Ocoee knows how to have fun but also be competitive in sports & academics. I've grown a relationship with my principal, Dr Karcinski. I dyed my hair frequently my underclassmen years which caused her to notice me and learn my name. Ocoee has improved since her becoming principal my freshman year. It's bitter sweet to leave but Ocoee has helped me develop and grow mentally, emotionally and socially. So I'll be alright.

There are security restrictions, but. It's not high enough security like every period there are at least 6 people smoking in different halls and there are bugs just walking around and this school is very strict such as if they think you are susp...

Forgot to mention something in previous review…as far as good test scores, those are also given to the students. As well as answers to said exams. As a matter of fact, the principal was calling students in office and telling them if they attempt the practice exam, or some test, and get a d or higher...

This school is very disappointing. The staff doesn’t seem to really care much when it comes to effective communication with parents. I feel they need a whole new staff starting with the principal.
