DuPont Hadley Middle School is part of the Nashville Metro Public Schools system and is located on one of Old Hickory’s main thoroughfares going into the heart of Old Hickory Village. The school was built in 1969 and underwent major renovations in 2005 that expanded the school’s classroom total to 35.
Students from sixth through eighth grades are able to enjoy a diverse curriculum at DuPont Hadley, with access to their own laptops, a state-of-the-art media center and computer labs to keep them connected in their studies.
With a focus on STEM, literature, the arts and volunteerism, students are given the opportunity to find where they can excel in order to prepare them for high school and beyond. DuPont Hadley also sponsors a program for gifted and talented students called Encore, as well as AVID, where students in the academic middle can pursue their college ambitions.
A variety of clubs and sports add to student life at DuPont Hadley as students show their spirit all year long to support their favorite Bulldogs in football, basketball, cheerleading and more.
DuPont Hadley as a whole has an average performance rating, but that trend is changing and will likely continue to improve. This is due to the low student-teacher ratio, a very active parent-teacher organization and strong partnerships with businesses and the community.

This school has too many fights and teachers do nothing about it. My kid came home with a bloody nose. My friends kid is getting harassed to get jumped and kids even went to her child's house and my friend called the school complaining about their child getting harassed and kids wanting to jump her child and the child's friend and the school did nothing but laugh. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. This is not what a 5 star school should look like.

Dupont Hadley is the most immaculate school in the USA/ North America. My kids adore coming to school every day , due to the incredible teachers. My kid was accepted to a Magnet school. I kept them at Hadley to be in Mr. Hammer's class in the 8th grade after my friends wouldn't shut up about how much their kids loved that class. He was awesome and so were the other teachers.
