GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Attending Old Orchard Beach High School was a great experience. My classes were a good mix of academics, but also fun. I appreciated how the small size of the school fostered close relationships between teachers and students, as well as among peers. I would have liked to see more AP options, but it sounds like they've addressed that since I graduated. All in all, the school is a well-rounded place which many can thrive in.

Being a senior in high school at OOBHS I've seen the school change and grow a lot throughout the four years. It has developed into a more warm and family environment that students enjoy being involved with. I personally enjoy being able to feel comfortable with my teachers and my fellow students. The classes and teachers we have are amazing as we have so many choices for classes to help everyone learn something they like. I would like to see how the school changes some of there discipline acts as sometimes the students feel like the actions of others should be justified more fairly than it seems but besides that we all feel safe and welcomed.
