GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best thing about OBHS to me are the clubs. You get to meet so many new people. I didn't really have any friends my first few years of high school, but joining clubs allowed me to make them. They improved my social skills and helped me gain some self-confidence. Honestly, for me the worst part would be lunch; it's just not appetizing to me, and a few of the lunch ladies are rude for no reason.

I have had my share of bad and good experiences, however if i had to say my worst one would be when I ate the school food and threw up for 2 days straight. Now my best memory was when me and my favorite teacher sat down and had a heart to heart because i was having the worst day ever.

Great Leadership at this school and all of the Desoto County Schools. The teachers and faculty actually care about their students and it really shows. The building is nice, and the athletic fields are in great shape. Every year I see multiple students in the newspaper for scoring 30+ on their ACT.

This school sucks, the lunch doesn’t have enough chicken and meat. The mandarin chicken is good though, more of that. The some teachers have SERIOUSLY BAD attitudes. The leadership is ineffective.

There are very few good teachers at this school. The new teachers are clueless and the administration is in denial about their lack of teaching ability. Administration was told to hire first year teachers because it saves the district money. My daughter has an English teacher who does not speak corr...

This school is only as good as the principal, vice principal and teachers. I give all a big fat F! These people are in need of serious retraining when it comes to treating all students the same. I would never recommend this high school for any student. I would rater work 3 jobs to put my children in...
