Rose Hill Elementary School is located at 5605 Corby Street in the Benson neighborhood of Omaha, Nebraska. In 1907, the Benson school board purchased three lots on the corner of 56th and Corby Streets. There, they built a two-room schoolhouse and named it Rose Hill in reference to the rose-covered hillsides of that area. It was built adjacent to the ”Historic Country Club Area” of Omaha on the school’s south side, and currently, serves 275 students in kindergarten through fifth grade with a student-teacher ratio of sixteen to one, and with students scoring at or above average in math and reading. The playground is newly renovated with a padded substrate beneath the large climbing structure. There is also a concrete area for games, including a built-in multiple-shot hoop game, and a large, grass-covered field for playing and athletics. Rose Hill Elementary’s mission for student success is to build a “solid foundation for life-long learning”.

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Our son has been going to Rose Hill for 5-years. We absolutely love this school. The teachers and staff are some of the warmest, kindest people I have ever met. There is great diversity at this school both in terms of ethnicity, and in terms of socioeconomic background. Academically, our son has thr...

We love the new leadership here (2020/21 school year). Our child’s teachers as well as other staff members respect our child’s pronouns (she/they) and are extremely communicative. Whenever we have a question or concern, we receive communication and explanation within 24 hours. The school, at least i...

I thought it was going to be a better experience. Once again grown adults can not handle the words that come out of my mouth so they take it out on my 8 yr old son. Very sad. Rating for experience at this school and ops as whole. Zero Amigo!!!!

My daughter went to this school in 2017 and we had a horrible experience. I would like to first state that we are African American and my daughter experienced unfair treatment from her teacher while attending RoseHill Elementary. I first started to notice that something was not right when the teache...
