GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My mom was diagnosed with metastasized medium to high grade bone cancer when I was 14. My mom had to have her entire humerus bone removed. She also had a spinal collapse due to the cancer wrecking her body. By the time I was in Sophomore year my mom had to have emergency surgeries. I left the town to be with my mother because there was a high chance I wouldn't see her come out the other side of those OR doors. There was an even greater chance she would be tetraplegic. When we returned home my school REFUSED to give me any of my assignments and when I went to the school to receive my work to try to catch up they told me to leave or they would call a truancy officer. My mom had to be carried up multiple flights of stairs in her neck brace and casts. It wasn't until she was in front of the administrative office dripping blood onto their carpet from her surgerical wounds did they allow me to receive my books and homework.

The best part about the school is the community within the students. At sporting events, students can choose to sit in a supervised student section and participate in chants and rituals throughout the game. The worst part is the students vaping in the bathroom and vandalism in the bathroom. Some bathrooms become closed due to vandalism and vaping.

I think the best part of OTHS is the culture and tradition, including the devoted student section and parents that support their kids at games, the school song, school dances, and other things. The worst part is that some teachers aren't the most helpful and don't have good vibes in general, and admin tries to implement rules that don't feel properly implemented or too harsh for people that even follow the rules

Very happy with the education my 3 children received from OTHS. The honors classes prepared them to succeed at college. If a student puts in the work, then a very good education is available at OTHS. The teachers in the honors program (with 1 exception) are superb. The coaches for the girls and boys...
