GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Oceana high school has allowed me to gain new experiences and knowledge. I really like how we have interim week as we can pick the activity we could do for a week while learning and in addition to having no classes. However, this school allows for people who are in the certificate program to get away with trouble. It seems that they side with one group of people. I wish they didn't take them so lightly and give them the same punishment as other students.

not the best school for clubs but did have a good college preparedness aspect , overall not too bad tho

Many of the students didn't remember when we spent time on classism in humanities which everyone here had to take. They're so ungrateful about the cafeteria's food while other students don't have lunch.

This school tries to brainwash your children with extremist politics straight from San Francisco.

I see some of these kids running away or even cutting class by simply waiting at the bus stop, so I guess the teachers and staff don't notice something like that.

from my perspective the school and teachers care more about the special needs kids "the certificate program" than all the other students and give them way too much leeway when they scream at people or try to hit them

As a parent, I am really not sure why some fellow parents praise this school like it's prestigious. From what I've heard, it's just decent.
