Home of the Lions, Liggett Elementary School was established in 1962 and is a public school in the Los Angeles Unified School District located at 9373 Moonbeam Avenue in Panorama City. The school takes great pride in their rigorous standards of academic excellence while simultaneously focusing on the needs of the individual student. There are 709 students enrolled and the school serves pre-kindergarten through fifth grade in Panorama City and Arleta.
The school emphasizes art, music, physical education, and is proud to feature a Robotics Science Lab for grades three through five. Liggett Street Elementary students scored 32% or above proficiency levels for math and 37% at or above proficiency in reading. I went to this school for grades 4 through 6, in the years 1967 to 1970. It was a great school with great teachers and kids, in a great neighborhood then, but just like everything else in the Valley, it has all gone downhill. Stay away. Stay far away.

This was my former elementary school and now my little brother attends this school and he loves it just as much as I did growing up. Great school, great teachers, also great staff at the office. I'm pleased to know they are still doing a great job.
