GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

During my four years at pella high school I had one of the best principles ever. Sadly he is moving out of state. Principle aside there are some amazing teachers at this high school, and even that ones that aren't students favorites aren't that bad.

Being a student at Pella High has been a great experience. Everyone here is friendly and inviting. There's a lot of different ways to get involved throughout the school year. With ~3 different sports happening a season, music classes year round, and art classes always open to more people. Along with our arts being good they have good academics as well with teachers who are passionate about what they are teaching.

I like Pella High school because I feel safe there and not judged and the teachers are nice. Though there not helpful in a way I need.

Interestingly enough, when returning to former communities, this one made previous places - even the nicer ones - look pretty trashy. The school mostly reflects the community atmosphere as a whole. The s...

As a graduate of Pella Community High School, I felt challenged and supported during my high school experience. The transition to college (4-year state university, honors program) was an easy one: Many of my high school classes were more difficult than a majority of my college courses. There were ma...

My school is one of the best public schools in Iowa to attend. We have an amazing teaching staff that cares about every student and want everyone to succeed. They go out of their way to do so. I like everything about my school! The staff, the sports, the programs, and the school itself! We have 1 to...
