GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This was like a very average high school experience. There was nothing out of the ordinary or anything that specifically stood out to me. The administration is very unaware of how coaches treat their athletes which was a major affect on me during basketball. There was only one teacher that stood out to me who went out of her way to be the best teacher who was always there when I needed someone. Other then that I come from a very white dominated school so very little diversity is shown and hope to see more in my college life.

Penn Yan Academy is a very warm and welcoming place. The students are kind and intelligent people. The teachers are always there to lend a helping hand to any student in need of some assistance. They also have a great support system for students who just want to talk, for example, the school psychologist and social worker are always available.

It is a good school that has college classes for those who want to have a leg up or want a challenge.

The school administration does not support students needs when social difficulties arise. The school does not contact and involve parents. This school is so bad I'm moving just so my daughter does not have to attend tthis school.

He treats you like your his own kid . He will do anything to help you succeed if you show him you want to achieve th...
